Three Rivers Camp is a luxury tented safari camp located in the southern sector of South Luangwa – one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Uniquely positioned at the confluence of the Luangwa, Kapamba, and Lusangazi Rivers, it offers a curated daily itinerary that showcases Zambia's game-rich wilderness. The camp is set against a breathtaking backdrop of woodland savannahs and rivers teeming with wildlife.

A day at the reserve begins with an early game drive through undulating savannahs and along shallow rivers in search of bucket-list wildlife sightings. Elephants and waterbuck are commonly sighted near the riverbanks, while giraffes are often hidden amongst treelines in woodland areas. In the late afternoon, you'll head out for your evening safari with the chance to encounter nocturnal predators like leopards and lions. Keep your eyes peeled for agile genets darting through the bushes.

Three Rivers Camp is a seasonal safari camp, open from late May to early November, offering the best opportunities for wildlife sightings. The camp also features walking safaris, so be sure to bring your hiking boots and prepare to explore the surrounding area. You can stroll along the riverbanks, where you may spot hippos gliding through the water.

Luxury Tent

Three Rivers is an exclusive and intimate camp offering private safari tents perched along the lagoon. Each tent is spaced to provide a quiet sanctuary—ideal for couples on a romantic African retreat. Constructed with a blend of stone walls, wooden flooring and canvas sheets, the tents boast elegance with a rustic charm, complemented by decor that reflects the natural earthy tones of the savannah. Private decks feature reclined chairs offering picturesque views of the Luangwa River. The en-suite bathroom includes both indoor and outdoor showers for a refreshing cleanse.

A highlight of the safari tents is the private sleep-out deck, connected to the main tent and furnished with plush star beds. Draped in mosquito nets and open to the night sky, they offer a truly unique sleep-out experience.

General Facilities

The facilities at Three Rivers are designed to enhance relaxation, without breaking sight with the breathtaking surroundings. A large viewing deck, shaded by a sausage tree, invites you to marvel as the sun kisses the water's edge. The outdoor lounge area, set around the warmth of a fireplace, invites you to curl up next to the riverside for after-dinner drinks.

A well-positioned watering hole in the middle of the camp attracts plains game for up-close sightings. An elegant lounge and bar area, shaded by canvas and protected from the sun, provides a comfortable space to enjoy afternoon drinks with friends and family.
