Rooms

Presidential Suite

The Presidential Suite is also decorated in the same elegant way as the luxury suites, but offers comfortable accommodation for a small family or two couples.

The two-bedroom suite is connected to the main lodge by a raised walkway, offering more privacy but remaining close by. The two air-conditioned rooms are connected by a beautiful lounge, dining and open plan kitchen area, and each room has individual indoor/outdoor showers and spacious en suite bathrooms.

The large private deck has a plunge pool while the lounge has satellite and a Play Station. Presidential guests enjoy their own private safari vehicle, private guide and tracker, and private chef and butler, creating an exclusive experience that is tailored to your needs.

Explorer Suite

The rooms at Tintswalo are all individually designed and decorated to reflect the pioneering era of the 19th century African explorers, and each suite is named after one of these historical figures.

Situated along the banks of the seasonal Nwaswitsontso River, each of the six suites offers supreme comfort and privacy with either an extra-length double bed or two twins, spacious en suite bathroom, and in indoor/outdoor shower.

Relax on your private deck on one of the comfortable loungers or cool off in your own plunge pool while overlooking the river bed and magnificent Sycamore groves.

Facilities

The main lodge has a small, but exclusive, library that holds many rare books and creates a cosy atmosphere for quiet, evening reading.

The wine cellar is also worth a browse, especially if you feel like picking out your own wine to accompany your evening meal.

The Vital Source Spa is slightly removed from the main lodge and brings you professional, internationally trained therapists to relax your muscles and rejuvenate your senses.

Dining

Ryno du Rand, the Tintswalo Group's Executive Chef, will ensure that every meal feels like it's been prepared especially for you, with flavoursome dishes created using fresh herbs and spices.

Meal schedules are also arranged according to you personal needs, thereby accommodating individual game drives and safari excursions. You can choose between planned meals in the dining area or around the boma, private and more romantic dinners in your suite, or bush meals in the heart of the wilderness.

For guests at the Presidential Suite who are travelling with children, special kids’ meals are provided, creating enjoyable mealtimes for them too.

Tintswalo was impressive. The beautiful surroundings and very British colonial decor was a lovely treat in the middle of the park. The staff at Tintswalo were incredible....it was such a warm friendly and intimate experience. Dining with our guide ea ch day was a fabulous part of the overall experience. And again, the food was spectacular. The setting at Tintswalo was superb as well....sitting on the deck at the lodge eating while the elephants were watching was priceless.

Our last lodge was Tintswalo Safari Lodge. The accommodations were beautiful. Our suite was huge and very nicely decorated. We wish the weather had been warmer so that we could have used our private plunge pool! Just like with Nottens, the guides, trackers, and staff were exceptional at Tintswalo. We had incredible game drives where we saw a pride of 22 lions and a cub, elephants, giraffes, cheetah, hyena, warthogs, buffalo, rhino, jackalls, etc. Our guides even had hot chocolate for us each morning since the morning drives were a bit chilly. The chef at Tintswalo was great and always had a nice menu for choose from for dinner each evening with South African wines to go with it.

"Tintswalo is uncrowded and I met only two other vehicles for two days - but then I was the only resident at the lodge for the two days. Pretended playing at being an Indian millionnore for two days. Tintswalo was luxurious."

The safari was great. The lodging was phenomenal as well. We saw 4 of the big 5 within the first day, and our guide and tracker really tried hard to show us everything we wanted to see. We stayed 2 days, but we should have stayed an extra day or tw o. I would recommend this lodge to anyone who is staying in the Manyaleti Reserve. Thank you for recommending this lodge.

Kim and I arrived back home safe and sound after our very excellent trip to South Africa. Thank you so much for sending us to the Tintswalo Safari Lodge. It was absolutely the highlight of our trip and definitely an instance where the best was save d for last. Our time there could not have been better. It far exceeded our wildest expectations. All of the staff were wonderful and completely down to earth. Our game drives were fantastic and the lodge itself was so peaceful. We got to see all of the animals and then some that we wanted to see.The organization and planning that you put together for us worked flawlessly.

The guide and tracker at Tintswalo (Eric and Moosha) were exceptional, and set very high standards for what was to follow. As Tintswalo was quite a bit less expensive than the other camps, but almost equal in most respects, it is probably the camp we are most likely to revisit if we bring our three adult daughters. The staff were all extremely friendly. Eric, in particular, has tremendous and intimate knowledge and life experience of the ways of the bush, including traditional bush medicine, and has lots to offer over and above what rangers and guides can learn from studies, books, and on-the-job training.

The Tintswalo Lodge. We were treated like royalty. Lauren, the manager went to every extreme to satisfy our every whim. I told her I wanted to play with baby lions so she arranged for us to go on a walk with 4 cheetahs at a nearby lodge. The food was exceptional as well. The game drives were very pleasant, our ranger was delightful and our tracker was amazing.
