Tum Tum Treehouse Lodge
Per Person Sharing
Set in the south-east of Hwange National Park, Tum Tum Treehouse Lodge is built among teak and camelthorn woodland overlooking a series of waterholes. Its elevated treehouses place guests above the bush, with wooden decks where wildlife can be watched moving through the woodland and gathering at the waterholes below.
Game drives and guided walks explore the surrounding park, with opportunities to see elephants and other wildlife. At nearby Mandiseka, a ground-level Look Up blind provides close views and photographic opportunities, while visits to the Mlevu Rhino Sanctuary and local communities add conservation and cultural experiences to the safari.
Tum Tum is particularly well suited to couples, families and travellers looking for a different way to experience Hwange. The four treehouses are complemented by a two-bedroom family tent, making the lodge suitable for a range of groups. It can also be combined with other Imvelo properties or the Elephant Express for a varied Zimbabwe safari.

The Treehouses are elevated among the teak and camelthorn trees, with wooden decks overlooking the surrounding woodland and waterholes. Insulated canvas walls and sliding glass doors keep the interiors light and connected to the bush, while en-suite bathrooms and open-air balconies provide the comforts of a traditional safari stay.
King-bedded Treehouses include an outdoor shower and a separate ‘eagles nest' deck, reached by a short walkway. Twin-bedded Treehouses have slightly more floor space and larger balconies, with indoor showers.
There is also a Family Tented Suite, combining two en-suite bedrooms with a shared lounge and dining area – ideal for families or small groups travelling together. Set on a slightly raised, ground-level wooden platform, the suite features an outdoor shower and private splash pool, while the two-bedroom layout provides plenty of space and privacy for everyone.
The open-fronted main lodge is a natural place to spend time between safari activities, with a bar, lounge and dining area overlooking the woodland. Enjoy a drink beneath the canvas-covered deck, or savour a meal outside on the lower teak deck as the sounds of Hwange carry through the bush.
The elevated setting keeps the wilderness close throughout the day, whether you’re watching wildlife from camp or taking a quiet moment to enjoy the surroundings between outings.
