I would highly recommend the V&A Hotel - it was a fantastic location, the customer service was excellent and the meals were amazing. We had a couple of meals in the evening and also breakfast; there was a fabulous range at breakfast and all overlooki ng Table Mountain.

"Absolutely fantastic. The staff at the V&A Hotel couldn’t do enough for our family and got to know us on a personal level. The staff were top class all round! We could not have chosen better for our stay."

The hotel was awesome and the concierges were very, very helpful and attentive. Great location. We just made up our own days in Cape Town and had no problem filling them with Cape of Good Hope, Penguins, walking tour, Table Mountain, Long Street at night, etc. Breakfast was awesome at the hotel, just like everywhere else.

Victoria and Alfred Hotel was awesome & beyond our expectations. We loved being on the waterfront in Cape Town because everything we wanted to do in Capetown was right at our fingertips. We dined at many of the restaurants and tried all the unique di shes and also enjoyed the breakfasts at the hotel. The shopping was great with a lot of variety. I also go the perfect tanzanite with diamonds which was mined right from Africa. I’ll cherish that souvenir forever.

I have been meaning to drop you a line to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip to your beautiful country. Everything went perfect. All connections went smoothly and our transfers that met us to get to our next destination were all on time and very nice people. The V & A in Cape Town was the perfect location. I would highly recommend all the places we visited and have recommended you to our friends. Thank you for a trip of a lifetime!

Lucy worked with me to put together a great adventure. She took care of everything: hotel, tour guides, airport transfers. She suggested the Victoria and Alfred hotel on the V&A waterfront which was a great place to stay, near shopping, restaurants a nd Robben Island tours. This made everything easy for us. The V&A hotel provided beautiful rooms, a nice restaurant and bar, and serve a magnificent breakfast in the morning. The hotel staff quickly responded to any requests we had.

Victoria and Alfred Hotel (V&A). What a hotel! What a deal we got staying there two free nights! The location is PERFECT. You can walk anywhere in the wharf area. The restaurants, mall, shops, whatever – right there. We looked out at the huge f erris wheel and Table Mountain! The breakfast was included. We thought that might be just rolls, bagels, coffee, etc. It was a buffet piled almost to the ceiling. It represented foods for every possible culture/nationality you could think of. That would have been more than enough, but you also got to order a full breakfast from the menu – that was included too!! The inclusive breakfast also let you eat at the Queen Victoria across the street. We tried that one morning – but nothing holds a candle to the breakfast at V&A. We had our last dinner at the Oyo Restaurant at V&A (where breakfasts were). Fabulous. From Ukutula to Cape Town, we did some really good eating! The hotel staff could not do enough for us. Very friendly. Very accommodating. One concierge gal even fixed my Blackberry when it wouldn’t work! Best mattress I’ve ever slept on while traveling too! Had to ask what kind. Sealy Posturpedic. I’m sure it’s a hotel grade. But it was wonderful.

"The Victoria and Alfred was a great choice. I do not think a better location in Cape Town exists. It was convenient to walk to the mall, restaurants, Robben Island departure and the pier area."

Loved the Victoria and Alfred Hotel. The location on the Waterfront was prefect. We enjoyed the city tour and peninsular tours in Cape Town. We were disappointed that the day we went to Table Mountain it was foggy and we could not see but we went up anyways. The day before when we were originally scheduled to go to Table Mountain was a beautiful day but who knew.

"The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront hotel was superb and your hire car booked through Buget was also very good."

I recommend the Victoria and Alfred Hotel. Centrally located, convenient to the Victoria Wharf shopping center and downtown area and good restaurants... They have an excellent concierge but their wifi was not 100% reliable. The restaurants and wine s elections were excellent. My favorite was the Round House although it is impossible to find even with a GPS. There was lots to do and see and time ran out before we got everything on our list complete. Some learnings for other travelers.

Was fantastic. Our room was lovely - spacious, clean and well apppointed. We arrived in the dark, but awoke to an unbeatable view of Table Mountain and the marina. Their breakfast buffets were great and their restaurant OYO was delicious. They ev en accomodated us twice for dinner without prior reservations - even on Valentine's Day. The champagne and chocolates in our room were a nice touch.
