Rooms

Manor Suite

A two-bedroomed Manor Suite sleeps up to four while a Honeymoon Suite has two bathrooms, small kitchen and a jacuzzi.

Lakeside Suite

The characteristic stone and thatch cottages, tucked away among trees and gardens, give Walkersons a welcoming ambience. There is a choice of 21 classically decorated rooms in one of three buildings, all within 200m of the manor house.

Each room has a view of the lake or valley from its private patio and affords comforts such as fireside armchairs, tea and coffee-making facilities, a mini-bar, safe, writing desk and satellite TV. Self-catering facilities are also available in some of the suites.

Facilities

The focal point of the hotel is the welcoming thatch and stone homestead where a bar, lounge area and à la carte restaurant are housed.

Also enjoy a seat by the cosy fireplace in winter, or relax in the sunshine at the swimming pool.

There is also a serene garden, as well as a spa and gym facilities. Staff will happily arrange fly fishing, horse riding, picnics and hiking excursions for you.

Dining

The award-winning restaurant at Walkersons prides itself in offering the opportunity for guests to indulge in fine wining and food - signature dishes include roast duck with a black cherry sauce and locally caught rainbow trout.

Select a wine from the 2 000-bottle cellar to complement the country cuisine and English elegance, before relaxing in front of a log fire. Breakfast is served, weather permitting, on the sun-drenched patio and Walkersons is also happy to supply picnic baskets packed with goodies and a bottle of cold wine.

The best hotel of the trip! It was quite magical. When we arrived in the property, guys were wearing kilts (quite funny to see that in South Africa), welcome was great. The dinner was the best we had of the entire trip and a brilliant outside breakfa st. We left the place as late as we could.
