Go2Africa's fundamental approach to travel sets us apart. It’s how we create the kind of vacation that you remember for years to come, and it depends as much on our first-hand expertise as it does on the relationship we build with you. You don’t pay for it but it’s our most valuable service: putting you in the right place at the right time in the right hands to witness Africa’s greatest wild events.
December and January: Book now for is a handy guide to what you need to book now to get the best seats (and where you’ll find affordable luxury by travelling out of high season).
Last-minute deals: December & January
Book now for Cape Town, Africa’s gourmet and design capital, and combine it with superb Big 5 safari destinations. We love the legendary Kruger National Park or family-friendly Madikwe. But if great cuisine, acclaimed vineyards and sun-drenched beaches are exactly what you need to rest and recharge as the year turns over, then we recommend Cape Town’s private villas in her loveliest neighbourhoods.
Just remember that, like any big and popular city, Cape Town is very full over Christmas and New Year especially because they coincide with the South African summer school holidays. The same goes for Kruger although because it is green season, last-minute deals can sometimes be found beyond the public holidays.
If you’ve always wanted to go on an East Africa safari, book now for the Migration in Tanzania and combine it with the Masai Mara or the exotic tropical island of Zanzibar. Once again, outside the holidays, Tanzania is quiet and excellent value can be had as long as you don't mind some glow-inducing humidity!
Three months from now: February & March
We believe that great value trumps cheap prices, especially values like unique settings and crowd-free experiences . We also love offering our travellers a truly good deal, like where and when you can get a high season experience at low season rates.
February and March is Green Season in Botswana, Tanzania and Kenya, which means the most affordable luxury in Africa’s most popular game-viewing destinations. Great value and fewer crowds are only two of the Green Season’s advantages: there is plenty of wildlife including Migration action, bird watching is superb, baby animals are everywhere and the normally dry plains are transformed into lush grasslands after the annual rains. The downside? The weather can be hot and humid, there are generally more bugs around, and you can expect the occasional afternoon thundershower.
For the most affordable safari for active families (or small groups of friends), book a private, serviced luxury Kenya villa holiday – you get all the flexibility of your own residence with the convenient services of a boutique hotel.
Book now for Botswana’s incredible adventurer safari in the Kalahari or add the ultimate tropical island to your safari with the Quirimbas archaepelago.
Six months from now: June & July
June and July are safari high season in Africa and with good reason, too: the weather is cool and comfortable, there are fewer bugs and wildlife is densely concentrated around waterholes, making game viewing easy and spectacular. But high season means you need to book far in advance to stay in the best lodges and settings. To make the most of these epic months, we recommend combining Africa’s top wildlife destinations.
In Southern Africa, book now for the crown jewel of Botswana and combine with Cape Town and Victoria Falls or Zambia or opt for the legendary Kruger in the most stunning Singita settings.
In East Africa, book now for the incredible spectacle of the Grumeti River crossings.
