Most returning safari-goers know that not all destinations are equal when it comes to accessibility; especially when it comes to Africa’s remote, unspoilt reserves. Travel can often entail a multi-step process from international flight, to local flight, to transfer flight, plus a drive.

Fortunately, new flight routes are coming into play in 2024 that will make African travel that much easier and that means more time spent on safari. Popular city and safari destinations such as Cape Town, Kruger National Park, Zambia, and even Botswana’s Okavango Delta are now more connected than ever. Not only will this reduce general travel time but enable even more combination destination options.

These are Africa’s newest flight routes in 2024:

This new route enables travellers to make the most of Cape Town’s exceptional beachfronts, winelands, and magnificent mountain in addition to the wild wonders of Zambia’s National Parks.

Marakele National Park and Madikwe Game Reserve – March 2024

Popular South African charter flight provider, Federal Airlines, is set to offer a new shuttle route connecting safari big hitters, Marakele National Park and Madikwe Game Reserve. This new shuttle has been done in collaboration with the MORE Family Collection to connect Marataba Luxury Lodges with Madikwe.

The inaugural flight will take place on 23 March 2024. Arrival and departure times have been scheduled with the Madikwe shuttle schedule for additional ease of transfer, also ensuring guests can still enjoy their morning and afternoon game drives.

Flights will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 02 April 2024.

Thanks to their affiliation with Airlink, this new route will enable travellers to fly between Cape Town, Kruger National Park, Victoria Falls, and Namibia, with a single ticket.
