Role introduction

Go2Africa are seeking a highly experienced sales and marketing professional to help deliver their next phase of growth.


This new role has a focus on brand, retention, and comms, and will be the custodian of Go2Africa’s brand positioning and messaging across all channels of communication and materials. A key aspect of the role will also include overseeing a lead generation strategy from offline channels, an area Go2Africa is looking at expanding.


With a remit to grow the current marketing team of 6, an external US based PR agency, this role reports into the CEO and will become a key member of the Go2Africa Leadership team.


Collaboration will be required both with digital acquisition strategy (paid search, paid social, affiliates and SEO) and website development, which are managed centrally at Group level. You would also work closely with our Sales Director / CSO to ensure effective conversion of offline leads generated by the sales team.

Candidate requirements



  • 10+ Years proven Marketing management experience.
  • A proven track record of growing a brand by planning and delivering multi-channel marketing and communication campaigns to hit KPIs as well as setting up offline lead channels.
  • Experience of managing PR activity to land online and offline coverage in target consumer press.
  • Previous responsibility for content led marketing.
  • Understand data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Have an analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Have strong people management skills.



  • Experience of working in travel, safaris or luxury goods industries.
  • Experience running a referral or loyalty program.
  • Experience of selling products or services that convert offline.
  • A second European language.



  • Degree or Diploma in Commerce or Marketing

Functional responsibilities

  • Lead and develop an integrated marketing and communication strategy designed to positively position the Go2Africa brand with our target customers and deliver business objectives.
  • Growing website visits – and ultimately enquiries and bookings – via owned (email, organic social, direct to website, collateral) and earned (PR, influencers, referral) media channels.
  • Growing leads from offline channels (partnerships, events, roadshows,
  • Print, loyalty, referral, direct mail etc) by developing and executing on offline sales strategy to drive growth and profitability.
  • Oversee the execution of ongoing and one-off campaigns to ensure the most effective and efficient use of investment to deliver short- and long-term metrics.
  • Develop, schedule and produce a content marketing plan for inbound marketing campaigns (including video) that educate and inform our target market, as well as supporting the SEO content strategy.
  • Manage all PR activity to secure positive coverage for Go2Africa in target media.
  • Create, build, and maintain influencer brand relations.
  • Work with the Group digital team to ensure the website tells the brand story.
  • Manage your teams’ activities and professional development through clear leadership and mentoring and adopting our leadership framework at Go2Africa.
  • Partner and collaborate with the Go2Africa Management team and Group peers to help deliver value to the business both internally and externally.
