Role introduction

Go2Africa is recruiting for a Product Administrator! This role will support the Product Manager with portfolio assistance and will be responsible for building, creating and maintaining relationships with our preferred partners. The Product Administrator will be accountable for all administration and support within the portfolio and assist with general admin within the team.

Candidate requirements



  • Proven track record of success in administration, project co-ordination, task management, & time management


  • Travel industry experience in either lodges, hospitality, agency, or operator
  • Geographical knowledge of South Africa, East Africa and Africa’s top tourist destinations




  • Tertiary Degree in Travel and Tourism, or related field

East Africa (EA) Portfolio Assistance

  • Auditing & QA of East Africa portfolio
  • Actioning supplier changes
  • Daily workflow tasks
  • Creation and updating of cheat sheets and tools for sales


Positive Impact Project Support

  • Admin support on PI projects
  • Admin support on Conservation Committee


Build & Maintain Supplier Relationships

  • Creating and maintaining relationships with preferred partners
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with substitute partners
  • Being point of call for substitute partners
  • Actioning all info, newsletters etc. and communicating to relevant parties
  • Proactively negotiating commercial agreements, incentives


Package & Tour Creation

  • Working with the sales team to put together tailored tours & packages
  • Working with Production Team to get these tours & packages loaded
  • Communication with sales


Research & Requisition Assistance (new product)

  • Online research (Trip Advisor, product* websites)
  • Email Communication & Information Gathering (Images, Rates, Fact Sheets)
  • Information comparison of rates & payment terms


General Administration Assistance

  • Assist team with overflow workload (Fast Tracks etc.)
  • Collate weekly information for sales communication newsletters


Data Capture & Information Processing

  • Source & process information via the production team for website for product* changes & updates


Marketing Liaison

  • Working with the marketing team to proactively queue through tasks
  • Liaison between Product & Marketing – assisting with the workflow and deadline management
  • Proactively sharing newsletter features with preferred partners
  • Creating and loading specials on WordPress
  • Black Friday project management


Mystery Shopping

  • Creating profiles and sending off enquiries to various tour operators
  • Auditing and documenting information received
  • Recreating quotes on Bazaruto and price comparisons
  • Sharing details with sales team


System Maintenance

  • Updating of Eddy / Baz information
  • Recosting of packages & reporting



  • Pulling reports from systems, assessing data and reporting on data



  • *product can refer to a lodge, tour, transfer service or any other ‘product’ or ‘service’ we purchase from a supplier
  • **a package is a selection of hotels, lodges, activities, flights, and transfers combined together
