    The only thing we were scared of as a tourist in South Africa was the safety bit in Johannesburg. And again City Lodge was extremely convenient option… Being right on the airport, as we were changing flights and with a child and the luggage, anything else would have been a nightmare. This was just perfect.

    City Lodge OR Tambo – this hotel was convenient and exactly what we needed since we wanted a place to crash for the night. The fitness center was nice since we had been on airplane for about 16 hours. The restaurant was fine – not memorable, not terrible.

    The City Lodge is perfect for the “transit” when you have to stay near the airport. It is very nice, a very good breakfast and the room was more than correct.

    City Lodge OR Tambo Airport – really liked this hotel, great location for an overnight stopover, great food in the restaurant, really nice modern rooms with everything you need. We had an issue on our second visit there in that the first room they put us in was absolutely freezing thanks to a loose window and cold air coming in, but they dealt with it and moved us, so no complaints and would definitely stay there again for a stopover.

    A perfect overnighter. The hotel was easy to get to and relatively quiet. The room was clean and the bed/ pillows were comfortable. The check in was very efficient at 2 minutes. The breakfast was good with variety, and fresh fruit and a hot meal if wanted all served in a nice quiet area. They do charge for WiFi! You can use the airport luggage carrier to take your bags to the hotel elevator. All these things make it ideal to stay overnight.

    The airport in Johannesburg is beautiful. It is so spacious and modern. The City Lodge OR Tambo Airport Hotel was also beautiful. The accommodations were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious.
