The dream started over 20 years ago at Londolozi Private Game Reserve in South Africa but it was in the early 1990s with the establishment of Phinda, a Zulu word meaning “the return”, that sustainable conservation dovetailed with responsible tourism and community responsibility to create the platform for &Beyond to expand and deliver on its stated ethic: “Care of the Land, Care of the Wildlife, Care of the People”.
