Mobile camping is an exciting way for safari addicts to really feel part of the landscape and to immerse themselves in nature as much as possible. It is also a wonderful way of exploring a vast area – this 9-day expedition starts in Kasane and ends in Maun, taking in the wonders of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park along the way.
You will move every two days, either by air or road, to a new location where a campsite will be set up and waiting for you. Staying in a basic but comfortable dome tent, you will be in constant touch with the sounds, smell and sights of Botswana. Dining takes place out of doors, as does showering under a bucket shower.
A highly trained and knowledgeable guide will accompany you all the way, and will ensure that you are prepared for the extra activities like a mokoro ride in the Delta and a river cruise in Chobe. Although you will not have amenities like air conditioning, a swimming pool or Wi-Fi, you will always have a flush toilet, a comfortable bed, delicious food and, of course, birds, bugs and game right on your doorstep.
Only six guests are accommodated in three tents, making this the ideal adventure to book out the entire camp on an exclusive-use basis.
