Detailed breakdown

Days 1-2: Touchdown in elephant country | 6 Nights

Up arrow

Having made your way to Kasane Airport, you will be welcomed to Botswana by your dedicated guide who will be at your side for your entire journey. Your next port of call is a secluded camp site in Chobe National Park, home to the world’s largest concentration of elephants. In addition to game drives in this wildlife-rich region, you will also experience the ebb and flow of the life-giving Chobe River – water safaris allow you to see semi-aquatic animals like hippos and crocodiles from an exciting new perspective.

Days 3-4: Life in the Savute

Up arrow

After two days, you will move to your next camp, which is situated in Chobe’s pristine wilderness of the Savute Channel. If you are travelling between February and April, your accommodation will be in a more spacious Meru tent rather than a dome tent. But, regardless of your shelter, you cannot help but be awed by the Savute: look out for large prides of lion, packs of endangered wild dog, as well as elusive predators like leopards and hyenas. In addition, learn more about the geographical and cultural history of the area by seeing ancient volcanic outcrops and delicate Bushmen rock art.

Days 5-6: Delta days

Nxabega Concession

Leave the 4x4 behind at Savute and take to the sky in a light aircraft for your journey to the sensational Nxabega Concession in the Okavango Delta. Land and water come together here to give you plenty of adventure: mix your game drives with bush walks, mekoro rides and catch-and-release angling.

Day 7: Farewell!

Up arrow

A week in one of Africa’s most beautiful areas has passed and today it is time to make your way to Maun International Airport. Your guide will wave you goodbye and, as you take off, you recall nights around the campfire under millions of stars, a lucky encounter with a rare puku antelope and some of the biggest families of elephants you have ever seen…
