Arusha, Tanzania
Detailed breakdown

Day 1-2: Your Tanzanian adventure begins | 1 Night

Up arrow
Arusha, Tanzania

Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport where a comfortable 30-minute drive kickstarts the first leg of your trip. The first night is spent at the charming African View Lodge, offering comfortable cottage-style accommodation that makes it the perfect place to prepare for your African safari adventure. You only spend one night here, so make the most of your time by squeezing in a coffee farm excursion, a village tour or simply unwinding from your flight with a massage. If you have enough time, be sure to take advantage of a game drive through the scenic jungle-like landscape of Arusha National Park.

Days 2-4: Hike the world’s largest caldera in Ngorongoro | 2 Nights

Up arrow

After breakfast, you depart African View for your next stop in Karatu. Although your next lodging is just under three hours away, your transfer doubles as a game drive through the popular Lake Manyara National Park. Between spotting elephants grazing on the savannah and watching flamingos frolic in the soda lake, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch with the untamed landscape as your view.

You arrive at the quaint, eco-friendly Endoro Lodge just before dinner. The idyllic lodge borders the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the famed Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcano caldera. Endoro’s ideal location offers an abundance of activities to keep you busy. A thrilling game drive through the Ngorongoro Conservancy, visiting the Elephant Caves and Endoro waterfalls, taking the guided rim walk around the Ngorongoro Crater, cycling through the local village on a bicycle tour, and strolling through the on-site banana and coffee plantations are just a few to tick off your safari bucket list.

Days 4-5: Welcome to the Serengeti | 1 Night

Serengeti, Tanzania

Get one last game drive through Ngorongoro in before you venture to Tanzania’s world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Your lodging for the evening, Kati Kati, is a mobile camp with an authentic safari feel. Lamp-lit under-canvas tents and bucket showers inducing a sense of “roughing it” in nature, making you feel at one with the wilderness. Use your one night here to recharge, slow down and really soak in your surroundings, taking a mental picture of Africa before the pace picks up again.

Days 5-8: Hot-air balloons rides over the savannah plains | 3 Nights

Serengeti, Tanzania

The final stop on your African safari adventure is Serengeti View Camp. Like Kati Kati, the camp is a spacious classic safari tent set in the wilderness among roaming wildlife. You spend three nights here, getting well-acquainted with the famous national park.

One of Africa’s most popular safari destinations, the Serengeti is teeming with an array of wildlife, including the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), that’s complemented by the breath-taking views of the rolling grassland landscape. Photography aficionados discover a wonderland of award-winning shots on the photographic safaris, while the dawn hot-air balloon ride offers a unique bird’s-eye perspective of wildlife going about their day, undisturbed and unaware of your presence. And, of course, when discussing the Serengeti, it’s an absolute must to time your trip with the majestic spectacle that is the Great Wildebeest Migration. Watching endless hordes of wildebeest, zebra and many other animals make their way across the savannah is an unforgettable memory.
