Overview

This 8-day bush-and-beach itinerary is ideal for travellers who want to experience the best of what Kenya has to offer. Plus, you’ll fly between destinations to save you the long road transfers.

Start your Kenya adventure at an intimate safari camp in the world’s only national park within the limits of a capital city. Nairobi National Park is home to Africa’s heavyweights like lion, buffalo and rhino, and you’ll get the chance to track them on a game drive in this unique wildlife destination.

Next stop: the magical Masai Mara. Experience this world-renowned wildlife area on daily game drives and nature walks with Maasai warriors. Thanks to the Masai Mara’s huge variety of wildlife and temperate climate, game viewing is excellent any time of year. You’ll see all Africa’s iconic animals like elephant, giraffe and zebra, as well as enjoy incredible sightings of lion, leopard and cheetah. And if you’re visiting between August and November, you’ll be able to witness one of our planet’s greatest wildlife spectacles: about two million wildebeest moving across the Mara’s champagne-coloured savannah.

Days on safari can be long, dusty and action-packed. That’s why there’s no better way to crown your African safari than with some R&R on a gorgeous tropical coastline. And there’s no better place to do it than alongside Kenya’s Diani Beach! Known for its flawless white sand and safe, warm water, Diani is the perfect place to enjoy your grand finale to an unforgettable eight days in Kenya.

Nairobi, Kenya

After touching down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you are met by your driver/guide and transferred to the world’s only national park within the limits of a capital city. Nairobi Tented Camp is the only camp inside the park and beautifully nestled within a riverine forest. Day 2-5: Exploring the Masai Mara | 3 Nights

Up arrow
Masai Mara, Kenya

After breakfast, you depart for Nairobi’s Wilson Airport for a charter flight to the Masai Mara. You are met by your driver/guide at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Mara Camp. Keep your peeled for wildlife!

Your home for the next few days is Porini Mara Camp, an authentic and intimate safari camp situated in a private conservancy alongside the Masai Mara National Reserve. The conservancy belongs to the local Maasai community who has set aside the area as a sanctuary for wildlife. Your spacious tent is perched on the shady banks of a charming natural spring, and comfortably appointed with a double bed and an en suite bathroom.

You spend your time exploring various Masai Mara private conservancies as well as the national reserve on daily game drives. The area is famous for its fantastic big cat sightings, especially lion and cheetah. Thanks to the Mara’s flat and wide-open landscape, cheetahs thrive here because they have ample space in which to chase down their prey. If you’re lucky enough to witness a cheetah hunt, you’ll be in for a thrilling wildlife scene.
