Spend eight days in truly remarkable parts of Botswana. Start your journey at the confluence of two of the most contrasting worlds: Botswana’s lush Okavango Delta and the rugged Kalahari Desert where you explore the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park – one of the largest salt flats on the planet that attracts large herds of zebra and predators like wild dog, cheetah and desert specialists like black-maned lion.
Then move to a secluded gem in the Khwai River area, overlooking a private waterhole. Watch elephant and hippo relish the water from the comfort of your tented suite at Hyena Camp. Spend an unforgettable night sleeping under the stars in a skybed, an elevated platform that overlooks a well-frequented waterhole. These truly unique structures are situated well away from the main camp and consist of two levels: a bathroom on the lower floor and an open-air bedroom. Savour the sights and sounds of the African bush while you experience far-off sightings of wild dogs, lions, elephants or hyenas and gentle nocturnal species like porcupines, bushbabies and genets.
Spend your last few days at Sable Alley – a tented camp in a private concession alongside the Moremi Game Reserve. A safari in Moremi offers magnificent sightings of elephant and buffalo herds, as well as a plethora of bird species. Moremi is also one of Africa’s last remaining refuges for the highly endangered wild dog. Spend another memorable night under the African sky in one of Sable Alley’s starbeds.
