Overview

This 9-day Kenya safari brings together three of the country's best-known wildlife areas: Amboseli, Laikipia and the Masai Mara. Travelling by light aircraft between destinations keeps the journey smooth and allows you to experience different landscapes without long road transfers.

Start in Amboseli, where large elephant herds move across open plains with Mount Kilimanjaro often visible in the background. From here, fly north to Laikipia's Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where days include a mix of game drives and other activities that offer a different way to explore the bush. Then continue to the Mara North Conservancy in the Masai Mara, where time is spent on safari in one of Kenya's most wildlife-rich regions, known for its predators and seasonal wildlife movement – including the Great Migration.

    On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you'll be met and transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Amboseli. After landing, a short road transfer brings you to Elerai Camp, set within a private conservancy on the edge of the national park.

    Game drives explore both the conservancy and Amboseli National Park, known for its large elephant herds and wide, open landscapes. On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro provides a striking backdrop. Additional activities include guided walks with Maasai guides and night drives within the conservancy, offering a different perspective on wildlife after dark.

      After breakfast, transfer back to the airstrip for your flight via Nairobi to Laikipia, landing at Kamok Airstrip. From here, continue by road to Kicheche Laikipia Camp, located within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

      Alongside game drives, there are other ways to explore the conservancy, including guided walks, night drives and mountain biking. Ol Pejeta is home to species not often seen elsewhere, such as Grevy's zebra and Jackson's hartebeest, and is also known for its work in rhino conservation.
