Starting in Nairobi and ending in either the Ol Peteja Conservancy or Nanyuki, this tour is perfect for any active safari-goers seeking to add a bit of extra action to their safari journey.

Picnic lunches in the great outdoors are complemented by the comforts of a luxury safari lodge at Kiangazi House, where you can get a great night’s rest between action-packed days.

Day 1: Venture From Nairobi | 2 Nights

Leave the hustle and bustle of Nairobi behind and travel to the heart of the Aberdare Range. Here, you’ll stop at Kereita Forest to feel the thrill of zip lining between the crowns of thousands of trees as you zoom through the canopy. Back on solid ground, you’ll have a picnic lunch before exploring some of the many mountain bike tracks in the forest. Late afternoon sees you departing to Kiangazi House on the southern shores of Lake Naivasha for the night.

Day 2: Trek Mount Longonot Volcano

After a quick road transfer to Mount Longonot, you’ll set off on a trek through the forest to reach the rim of this dormant volcano. At the top, you’ll be spoiled with incredible views. Take it all in while enjoying a quick snack before hiking down the trailhead to your transfer vehicle where you can refuel with a packed lunch and some relaxation time. The day doesn’t end there, though. Top the afternoon off with some mountain biking in Hell’s Gate National Park, where you will have the chance to explore the unique landscape of canyons and towering rock cliffs. After a jam-packed day, it’s back to Kiangazi House for some well-deserved dinner and relaxation.


Day 3: Game Drive Through Aberdare National Park

Depart from Kiangazi House after breakfast and drive to the Aberdare National Park for a day of game viewing. Look out for the varied wildlife and birdlife that inhabit this forested area – elephant, buffalo, reedbuck, bushbuck and Syke’s monkey are just a few of the species you can tick of your safari sighting list here. With your game drive taking you up and over the escarpment, you midday picnic lunch is complemented by views of this expansive landscape. After descending the slopes, make your way to Ol Pejeta Conservancy where you can continue your adventure with a safari, or continue to Nanyuki to transfer back to Nairobi.
