Spend eight magical days in Tanzania’s diverse landscapes, from the western corridor of the majestic Serengeti, to the soft-sand shore of the second-largest lake in the world. Start your adventure in arguably the pinnacle of safari destinations, Serengeti National Park. This slice of paradise is home to one of our planet’s most awe-inspiring concentrations of wildlife and the Greatest Animal Show on Earth: the annual Wildebeest Migration. You will stay at the magnificent Soroi Serengeti Lodge, ideally situated to witness the Great Migration in season. The lodge is built high on a natural plateau and boasts the most incredible views over the vast plains.
You then travel from 'The Land that Moves on Forever' to the remote western shore of Lake Tanganyika. Kungwe Beach Lodge is a comfortable tented camp nestled at the foot of the Mahale Mountain rainforest, overlooking one of the beautiful African Great Lakes. The densely forested Mahale Mountains National Park is home to the largest known population of chimpanzees on Earth. The park’s researchers have spent decades habituating one troop (the ‘M group’) to humans. You might also spot leopard, bushbuck, bush pig, and a plethora of birds and butterflies during a trek through the forests. Tanganyika is home to over 250 species of tropical fish – an ideal lake for snorkelling and kayaking.
