A last breakfast at Mfuwe sees you off before you’re transferred to your next home-away-from-home, Chindeni Bushcamp. This tranquil tented camp sits in a secluded area along the meandering Luangwa River, with the Chindeni Hills standing tall in the background.

The camp stands high on stilts, shaded by a grove of ancient ebony trees and offering thatch-roofed buildings and under-canvas suites that provide a luxurious yet authentic safari stay. The camp also boasts a wooden viewing deck overlooking the lagoon below – a favourite watering hole for the resident wildlife.

Chindeni’s enviable location deep in South Luangwa means that you not only get a more private and exclusive experience, but you’ll also be surrounded by an abundant variety of wildlife that frequent the area. Morning and evening game drives, as well as authentic walking safaris provide you with the opportunity to spot elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, wild dog and Thornicroft’s giraffe in their natural habitat.
