I have always dreamed of seeing the world and shortly before completing school I realised that studying tourism might be the way to do it. After graduating and bouncing around the hospitality industry, I worked for a USA tour operator until they closed. By some fluke, I was invited for a meeting with Go2Africa's then founder and, as they say, the rest is history.
I have been with Go2Africa since its infancy in 1998 and have loved every moment of seeing it become the company you see today. I have been privileged to explore exquisite corners of Southern & East Africa, plus its Indian Ocean islands – top to bottom.
I arranged an East African safari for a royal family and their entourage of 45 VIPs ensuring special security and special immigration and custom arrangements for the group. They had peace of mind knowing they didn't have to worry about a single thing and could simply enjoy an awe-inspiring travel experience.
Contrary to popular belief, there's no dress code when going on safari! You don't have to wear khaki from head to toe or dress in thick socks and hiking boots. Most animals don't even see you as a singular person in a safari vehicle; they see vehicles as one big animal so there's no need to try and blend into the surroundings. My go-to for safaris is a large, soft, lightweight scarf perfect for wrapping around your head when in the sun, on your shoulder when it's cold, or draped to keep the bugs at bay.
