Overview of The River Club
The River Club is a refined Edwardian-style lodge situated on the Zambian banks of the Zambezi River upstream from thundering Victoria Falls. A converted farmhouse, The River Club is set in beautifully manicured gardens that run down to the river’s edge. Sit a while and see if you can spot elephants, hippos and other animals in the Zambezi National Park which is just across the river. You should keep your binoculars close at hand: the birdlife is spectacular and the region is one of Southern Africa’s birding hotspots.
Watch an African sunset over the Zambezi River from The River Club’s main verandah or enjoy a sundowner river cruise. Daily tours of Victoria Falls are offered as are game drives in the small but rewarding Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, cultural village visits and fishing trips. Alternatively, simply laze by the infinity pool, enjoy the view and don’t lift a finger…
