A chic and modern boutique hotel on the north coast, I would choose this resort for it's beachside location and vibrant atmosphere.

Z Hotel was great, Nice facilities, friendly staff, amazing location. Really nice to be able to wander up and down the beach and try different restaurants. We did nothing all week! Just relaxed in the sun!

The Z Hotel in Zanzibar was like heaven on earth. Upgrading to the ocean view room was well worth it, as we were able to watch the sunset everyday from our private balcony. They had paninis and champagne waiting for us when we arrived as our flight was several hours delayed and the restaurant was closed for the evening already, a lovely touch.

Z Hotel was perfect for us and the cottage room was great as we had a good feeling of space there.

The Z hotel in Zanzibar was a fantastic place, the service was just excellent, and I don’t remember eating that well on holiday ever before. The hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the pool and beach were fantastic.

We definitely had the best room and it was much-appreciated. Not that people spend much time in the room but we were happy to have our own covered area to get out of the sun but be outside and have our own sun deck for late afternoon when we wanted to lie in the sun. Apart from that we spent most of our time walking (trying to burn off calories we had added to the waistline) or on two days we ‘private hired’ a dhow to take us to an island for snorkelling and giving us lunch on a beach close to the island followed by a leisurely sail back to the hotel.

The Z Hotel was also lovely, super location, right on the beach with a pool if you didn’t fancy the sea (there were a few small stingy things in the water which weren’t a problem once you got used to them). We decided to upgrade the room to a sea view on arrival – extra $30 per night but definitely worth the money. The garden view room was on the ground floor and didn’t have much view at all.
