Overview of Desert Horse Inn
The Desert Horse Inn – Klein-Aus Vista is located at the meeting place of the 3 very different biomes, resulting in a unique display of flora. The area is also known as the Succulent Karoo as a result of the blanket of flowers that covers the area after the winter rains. The inn is a comfortable retreat and the perfect base from which to explore all that this area has to offer.
Set out on a hiking adventure in the mountains of Aus or set out in a four-wheel drive and explore the deserted diamond settlement at Kolmanskop or the Gondwana Sperrgebiet Rand Park. Book a day trip to Garub to see the Namib wild horses that roam the Namib-Naukluft Park. Alternatively, embark on an excursion to view the vast sea of dunes at Koichab, the nearby camel thorn forest, and the rock art at Kirchberg Mountain.
