Trip was amazing! Ebony Lodge was the best recommendation you could have ever made! Not only the lodge itself but the people working there – amazing service and very, very friendly.

Singita Ebony totally blew us away. We were torn between wanting to stay in our room, enjoy the lodge facilities and going on game drives although the latter always took precedence and we wouldn’t have missed them for anything. We were really lucky with all the animals we saw including some of the rarer ones such as wild dogs and striped jackal. Daniella our guide was amazing and so knowledgeable and all the staff at Singita looked after us so well but in a very friendly and unobtrusive manner. We had an excellent wine tasting with the sommelier Chantelle who certainly opened our eyes to the vast variety of South African wine (no more thinking that South African wine is just Chenin blanc!).

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ebony. The public areas and suites are delightful. I found the staff amazing, they strike the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. I found the food to be of the highest standard but found Singita’s nouveau cuisine difficult to feel comfortable with in the bush but that’s subjective. Fantastic – well received by guest relations – all inclusions such as wine from the cellar, laundry and bountiful room drinks and snacks make an impact. I had probably my best guide / tracker experience (Nicky and Shadrick – request them) at Singita. It was apparent they were a team with a relationship founded on mutual respect. The guide – Nicky – was a fantastic communicator who always informed you of her thoughts and intentions; this meant as guests we moved from passengers to participants.

The Kruger was awesome. Saw all the big cats very close up and were even there when lions took down a buffalo.
