The staff were exceptional. Dinner with a rogue elephant was one highlight.

We were pleasantly surpised by the Sussi and Chma Lodge and by Zambia, in general. We went there to see the falls and got to see so much more. The excursions provided by Sussi and Chuma were first rate and they usually provided private tours for my husband and I. In Zambia, we saw hippos, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, impala, kudu, monkeys, baboons and more. The hospitality and food at Sussi and Chuma were EXCEPTIONAL!!

Geoff sort of got two actually because Simon the manager of Sussi & Chuma knew it was a birthday treat and he gave Geoff a cake the evening before, which was a lovely surprise and gave us both presents of fleece jackets which we wore for the rest of the trip. Our pick up was patiently waiting and our greeting at Sussi and Chuma swept it all away.

The highlights were the people at Sussi Chuma were really lovely and I must admit when we first arrived both Bill and I (without saying anything to each other) thought “what on earth are we doing here” with the rustic rooms and the holes on the floor etc but in no time at all the people had won us over. Arnold and Obby even took us fishing on the last day and they all sang me happy birthday which was sooooooo special. So we left there with great memories and a lot to live up to.
