    Medjumbe was rustic luxury. We love to snorkel and took our fins and masks. The coral is beautiful, lots of small fish to see however the sea life is not as extensive as the Maldives when snorkelling. It was great to have a dive master & spa on the island – we used both.

    Medjumbe Private Island – absolutely amazing – I almost cried when we had to leave! Such a beautiful island paradise, so tranquil and secluded, the managers were fabulous, the accommodation and common areas were fantastic, and the food was delicious – a true island paradise!! I felt so lucky that we were upgraded to Mejumbe by Rani Resorts.

    Medjumbe Island was paradise. The accommodation was fantastic that whole island everything you would want and hope for in an island get away. We scuba dived, we watched whales, we Dhow boat trip. The food was fantastic – I never thought I would become tired of lobster! Karen, Jason and their staff worked tirelessly and everyone was so friendly – after 10 days we really felt part of the place. Being their winter the weather can be a bit unpredictable and on our 2nd day the wind blew up that lasted for 4 days – however it was still warm and hot and we were fine. If we would have only done 5 days it would have been disappointing as it was too windy to go diving and use the boats but the final 5 days were great – in fact the weather was perfect hot but not too hot. Medjumbe was the perfect place for our beach break – great choice. I feel very lucky we managed to get the transfer to Medjumbe from Matemo.
