Camp Kipwe
Per Person Sharing
Located in the Twyfelfontein region of Namibia’s staggeringly scenic Damaraland, this beautifully remote and intimate lodge offers a spectacular Namibian experience. The camp’s nine specially-designed rooms and one suite are unique, and feature outdoor bathrooms, thatched roofs and spectacular views.
Spend your days on guided nature walks around the Twyfelfontein Conservancy, as well as trips to see the famous Bushman rock art of the area plus the mysterious Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain. Embark on an excursion to explore this rugged land in search of Damaraland’s elephants, elusive creatures who have adapted to the arid conditions of northern Namibia. End each day enjoying total solitude as you sit out on your deck and gaze up at the millions of stars above you.

Each Bungalow at Camp Kipwe is built into the landscape with smooth boulders, red basalt rock and mopane giving them a natural, organic feel.
The outside, semi-open en-suite bathrooms continue this natural look with screed and rock walls. Hot water for the showers is supplied by a wood-burning ‘donkey’ system.
Cool off during the heat of the day with a dip in the small plunge pool before sitting out at the 360-degree viewing point for incredible vistas.
Camp Kipwe also has a safari shop, bar and a comfortable lounge area.

Our suite at Camp Kipwe was outstanding! Watching mating lions and elephants in close proximity, being gently tusked and nudged by a wild desert elephant, and witnessing a handful of falling stars were but a few highlights.
Built tastefully amidst the boulders, this camp has a lovely atmosphere, filled with birdsong in an otherwise very stark environment.

Camp Kipwe was fantastic. Beautiful in many ways – everything the brochure promises! Excellent food and wine, friendly helpful staff – nothing was too much trouble! We would certainly visit there again.
Recommend the hot air balloon ride and champagne breakfast in the bush!
