This family-friendly resort enjoys direct access to the beach, complete with loungers and palapas. Several on-site pools offer a secluded space to relax and unwind amidst the 17-acre tropical gardens. Throughout the gardens, historical ruins of a lighthouse and fortress emerge from the foliage as a reminder of the island's past.

Canonnier Beachcomber is located just 10 minutes from one of the island's tourist hubs, Grand Baie, and enjoys a string of secluded bays with an off-shore reef break. A variety of accommodation options are available – from family-orientated or a small group offering to a romantic hideaway – in addition to several on-site restaurants offering the best international and local fare.

Standard Room

Canonnier Beachcomber’s various rooms, suites, duplexes, and apartments combine a chic, modern feel with authentic colonial charm to create comfortable spaces. Choose between a lush garden views or sublime sea facing vistas, which can be enjoyed from an outdoor seating area. Family apartments and duplexes accommodate up to 5 guests, while others are suited to a maximum of 3, except for the Suite offering, which is perfect for 2. Soft tones with tasteful touches of light wood and natural materials, like rattan, create a peaceful ambience to relax and unwind.

General Facilities

Venture to the ancient banyan tree and small tree house village to experience the on-site spa. Cabins equipped with outdoor showers and a host of indulgent treatments await. An extensive fitness centre and equipment are available to make the most out of land-based sports on offer. An impressive array of water sports is also accessible thanks to the string of secluded bays at Canonnier – try your hand at activities such as sailing, snorkelling, water skiing, windsurfing, and pedal boats. Additionally, enjoy exclusive access to two 18-hole golf courses.

Canonnier kids club is one of the most appealing offerings on the island, with no effort spared to ensure kids aged 3-11 have the time of their lives. Creative and discovery workshops, play and learn activities, and even mini golf are facilitated by a qualified team to ensure an enriching experience. The teens club is a fantastic place for young people to interact with others of their own age and participate with tennis tournaments, games, mini-golf, snorkelling, and much more.

Dining

Canonnier Beachcomber features several exciting restaurants that offer the best of both international cuisine and local flavours. Their primary restaurant, Frangipanier, is found by one of the resort's pools and shaded by coconut trees, offering the perfect relaxing environment. Other restaurants include a beachfront offering, Navigator, and an Italian sensation, Serenata, as well as both Planteur and Navigator Bar.

While staying at the hotel, you are welcome to dine interchangeably at all Beachcomber hotels equal to Canonnier. Each restaurant has its own dress code and opening hours, so we recommend familiarising yourself with this during your stay. Complimentary tea and coffee are found in each suite.
