Beach Villa

Coral Lodge has ten luxurious air-conditioned villas offering total privacy and ample space in which to relax and enjoy Mozambique's beachlife.

Each villa comes complete with a private butler and has a spacious living area, a light and airy bedroom with en suite bathroom featuring separate bath and shower and an open-air terrace. The bedrooms have beautifully-designed canopy beds - all made of natural materials - and boast deluxe Egyptian cotton linen. Each villa also has its own private outdoor shower, a daybed, tea and coffee-making facilities, free bottled water, a safe and in-room internet on request.

Five of the villas have direct views of the Indian Ocean from their elevated dune-top position while the other five villas are a little more secluded and enjoy views of the nearby mangrove forest and Ilha de Mozambique.

Facilities

When not soaking up the lazy beach life, you can take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or relax with a drink at the bar.

The lodge spa offers a range of treatments and massages to be enjoyed at the spa or in the comfort of your own villa or indeed in more secluded island locations. You might also want to try the curio shop for interesting buys or look for some entertainment in the library or games room - the lodge also has a satellite TV room as well as WiFi access in the bar and restaurant.

A laundry service plus on-site baby sitters complete the extensive range of facilities.

Dining

Coral Lodge has a stylish dining venue called The Reef which offers indoor and outdoor dining at the very tip of the peninsula. The restaurant has a high-thatched roof and is open-air, allowing in cool ocean breezes.

The Portuguese influence on the lodge cuisine is apparent in the delicious pastries and snacks served throughout the day. Breakfast can be enjoyed a la carte, lunch is either à la carte or a set three-course meal while the dinner menu is infused with original Mozambican, Middle Eastern and European flavours.

Fresh fish and seafood dishes naturally dominate the menu and are accompanied by Portuguese and South African wines. Mid-morning and afternoon teas are served with freshly-made Portuguese pastries while sundowners are served with canapes before dinner. Private dining is available on request.
