Lairds Lodge Country Estate

Loved it, everything was excellent – quality food, beautiful gardens, well appointed rooms and lovely staff. It’s also in a great location.

The best place we stayed. Family hotel, nice rooms, warm welcome and cozy refreshment area. Super service, would highly recommended.

Lairds Lodge was very comfortable and we received the most attentive service of anywhere we stayed. Their food was fantastic and the logs fires were so welcoming!

It's very nice, very charming little lodge. A fantastic ambiance. We were excellently received and the only problem we had is we did not spend much time in the lodge. We had dinner there and enjoyed a high quality meal, really excellent. And they did accommodate the kids more restrictive palate. Second night they recommended a place for dinner in Plettenberg Bay, the Fat Fish, which was fantastic. They also helped us to fill one afternoon with a fantastic visit to the Robber Nature Reserve. Thanks for the recommendation as we’ve liked the place very much.

We clearly remember initially we were reluctant to go for Lairds Lodge while booking as we found it a bit expensive but it was worth it. Is is a beautiful place – the cute little room for my daughter was the best part of her holidays and she will cherish these memories forever. Lairds lodge is definitely one of our best stays so far and highly recommended. Thanks to you for convincing us to go for it.

Lairds – beautiful property, beautiful room, patio out back. I have never stayed at a true country estate, and this was both a learning experience and a treat. It is a bit out of the way but the staff there – again wonderful – made taxi arrangements that took us into Plettenberg for dinners (driving at night on the ‘other’ side of the road and shifting with my left hand meant I could have about a half a glass of wine and that is it… taxis were a better bet). GREAT breakfast elegantly presented every morning.

Lairds was also so beautiful. The staff at all the hotels were so wonderful. They make you feel like you are so welcome. The food was tremendous.

Thank you for such a fantastic opportunity to spend time In South Africa. This was my first visit and everthing was perfect. The accomodations were excellent and your attention to detail was superb. Our decision to hire a car allowed us to tour the country at our leisure and not feel rushed or under time constraints- a true vacation. The mapped itenerary was our lifeline to our planning. You did an amazing job for us.

The hotels picked were wonderful – especially the Walden House and the Lodge Lairds near Knysna. Shadi even got to do the highest bungee jump in the world and I had a very close baboon encounter near the Cape. It was a very memorable trip.

We would highly recommend Laird’s lodge at Plett’s Bay. It’s so beautiful and the staff so friendly and helpful. We wished we could have stayed there a bit longer. The kids too had a great fun at the lodge, especially with the domestic cat and all the staff at the lodge.

Lairds Lodge was beautiful, such attention to detail to ensure we were comfortable.
