I just love the river frontage of the main areas and the spacious suites; our warm welcome from the staff was complemented by the herd of elephants as if they were there just to greet us - so special!

The jewel of the trip was definitely Lion Sands and the safari. It was UNBELIEVABLE. Tinga Lodge was like something you see on a magazine cover and that was only the beginning! The people, the service, the accommodations, the food, the game drives, the tree house – it was all absolutely spectacular! An 11 out of 10. Can’t say enough good things about it.
It was absolutely amazing and totally worth the price. Peter also loved it even though it was more touristy as he was the only local but it actually turned out great and was an amazing and unforgettable experience for him too. I would go back there in a heartbeat except I would like to explore other parts since they keep you in a pretty small area. That being said, we did see the big five and countless leopards, definitely my favourite animal! We even tracked lions literally off-roading which was unreal. Peter caught it on video. Our tracker and guide we’re amazing and got us really close to all the animals while keeping everyone safe. I can’t wait to spend a lot more time in Africa as it now feels like a second home to me. I’m just sad that I will only be able to visit once a year max right now. Fingers crossed that we’ll be able to spend a month a year there and increase it from there once our little one is off to college!!! I think my mom is worried that I love it so much because it’s so far away from her and home!!! She’ll understand once she sees it which is why we’ll be bringing her next year!
We really enjoyed Tinga Lodge and the experience of the Tree House. The room at the lodge was great, very clean and big. The staff and guides were all great. I would definitely recommend Tinga Lodge and if someone wanted the experience of sleeping in a tree house go for it. The Lodge, staff, food, accommodations were all great.
