The One Above penthouse is a glamorous take on a seaside villa: instead of wicker, expect marble; for bleached wood, substitute glass, mirror, thick rugs and imported fabrics. A subtle palette of creams and silvers allows the sun-drenched rooms to sing against panoramas of Table Mountain, the twinkling Cape Town city centre and far-off Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was once held. Stretching over two storeys that are linked by a glass-balustraded staircase, the penthouse is very spacious with an airy feel that is immediately relaxing.

There is a private lift to the basement parking and 24-hour, access-controlled security at all times. The first floor has a study or library with a fireplace leading from the entrance area, plus a fitness centre and a sauna.

The One Above Penthouse offers several indoor and outdoor dining areas, with the indoor dining room being on the second floor, along with two sun-flooded living rooms. The expansive outdoor area on the first floor offers sun loungers, a barbecue area and a dining table, making it the ideal venue for alfresco meals or a sunset cocktail party. There are two swimming pools, meaning you can follow the sun on a perfect summer’s day.
