Overview of The Wallow Lodge

Zimbabwe, Zambezi National Park

The Wallow Lodge offers an intimate safari getaway on a private concession within Zimbabwe's famed Victoria Falls National Park. Sixteen quaint, comfortable rooms are set under canvas to provide an authentic safari feel. The rooms line the meandering Masuwe River's edge, offering panoramic views of the flowing water toppling over Batoka Gorge. Paired with the lush greenery of the surrounding jungle-like wilderness, guests are immersed in the serenity and beauty of nature.

You'll be able to explore one of the world's greatest phenomena from The Wallow. Victoria Falls is a diverse ecosystem abundant with flora and fauna. Cruises on the Zambezi River lead you to see hippo frolicking in the water, while tours through the rainforest gets you up-close to the birdlife and smaller mammals, as well as the groves of Date Palm, Fig and Mahogany. And, of course, the game park offers the chance to see everything from the Big 5 to groups of zebra, giraffe and eland from the comfort of a safari vehicle.

The more adventurous traveller will be thrilled to be in Africa's adventure capital. The lodge's ideal location in Victoria Falls National Park makes it easy to access the fun activities on offer. Explore one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World from different perspectives, from white-water rafting on the Zambezi River to ziplining over the gorge of the waterfall.

We had an absolutely amazing time during our stay. The lodge is beautifully decorated, with lovely facilities that made our visit all the more comfortable and enjoyable.

Our canvas tent on the river was cooled before arrival and cold towels and refreshments handed out on arrival which was much appreciated in the heat. Small touches that made a difference. All the staff were so friendly and hospitable. It felt like a home away from home.

The included sunset cruise and falls tour were truly exceptional and exceeded all our expectations. A must do when visiting.

A special thank you to Bheki, our guide, who went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. His punctuality, hospitality, extensive knowledge, and entertaining nature truly enriched our stay. He's a wonderful person and a credit to the team.

We certainly hope to return in the future.
