Villa Amizade is located on the Azura Benguerra Island in the tropical waters of Mozambique. This pristine island sanctuary falls within a marine national park, allowing you to revel in the untouched treasures of the natural world.

The unobtrusive design of the villa combines local architecture with simple, bare-foot luxury. Two bedrooms and spacious living areas make it perfect for small groups or families seeking the privacy of a home-away-from-home with all the lavish extras.

Amizade Villa

Fully air-conditioned Villa Amizade has two spacious bedrooms – a master bedroom with a king-sized bed and a second bedroom with twin beds. The master bedroom has a lovely indoor/outdoor feel and opens out onto two lounge decks. It comes complete with a spacious en suite bathroom with a free-form bath and indoor and outdoor showers. The second bedroom has a comfortable seating area, a stylish indoor/outdoor bathroom and stunning views of the Indian Ocean.

General Facilities

Located right on the beachfront with panoramic views of the ocean, living and deck areas are equipped with a day bed, sun loungers, satellite TV, a docking station, games, a wine bar, and a small kitchenette with a Nespresso machine. Outside in the tropical garden is an extra-length swimming pool and beachside sala. Other facilities include butler-host service, air conditioning, outdoor showers and ‘gym in a bag'. At the main lodge guests can pick up a local handicraft at the Trading Store, indulge at the African Spa, and connect to Wi-Fi from the library.

The Azura menu is inspired by an ample supply of fresh fish and seafood, and is prepared with contemporary flair. Enjoy themed dinners in the main restaurant and choose from a prestigious selection of wine from the cellar. Signature seafood dishes promise to impress, however any dietary requirements are happily catered for wherever possible. Romantic or private dinners can be arranged in a number of scenic spots, the favourite being on the beach under the night sky.  Villa Amizade offers the option of a private chef service at a supplemented rate.

    We had another fantastic trip. I think this was Kathleen's favorite beach trip yet….it checked all of her boxes. Weather was perfect and the service was fantastic. Still think I lean toward the Seychelles, but if you having this debate….you're pretty fortunate

    Benguerra Island, Azura Retreat – This lodge was nice but definitely did not meet our expectations for a 5 star resort and their 5 star price tag. The food was absolutely terrible and Roger even had food poisoning here as well. We would not recommend this resort to anyone based on the food and the price tag for what you get.
