Go2Africa is looking for a Marketing Product Manager to join the fast-growing Marketing Team! This position will require the successful candidate to work within the Performance Marketing team and report to the Head of Commercial Optimisation.   

 

Role Details

The Marketing Product Manager will take ownership of the Go2Africa marketing websites. Technical and operational processes will be managed to ensure quality standards are met and developments are prioritized, in line with team goals and deliverables. To achieve this, the Marketing Product Manager will need to engage with all stakeholders in internal and external teams, project managing and coordinating activities relating to any website enhancements and developments. The Marketing Product Manager will also need to strive to understand how best to serve Go2Africa website users and ensure that all web developments are in line with customer needs, business goals and team objectives.  

 In addition, the Marketing Product Manager will be focused on defining, implementing and improving Marketing team processesto ensure continuous progression. Staying up to date with travel and marketing trends and conducting market and customer research to ensure Go2Africa’s customer and user-centricity is required.  

Functional Responsibilities

  • Product ownership of the marketing website. 
  •  Managing website development sprints. 
  • Reporting on project timelines, deadlines and the progress of development sprints. 
  •  Strive to better understand the needs of Go2Africa’s website visitors, potential clients and traveller’s, ensuring that their needs are put first in all website development updates, additions and changes. 
  •  Stay up to date with marketing and travel trends, ensuring that Go2Africa is a leader of innovation in the online space. 
  •  Develop a road map for website features and improvements. 

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Matric  
  • Relevant tertiary degree or 3 years’ experience in a relevant space or industry.

Experience

  • Must be able and willing to roll up one’s sleeves and get stuck in, to get the job done

Knowledge of

  • You don’t need to be a software engineer, but a technical background is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies is also a plus.
