African Safari

My new spouse and I want to go on a wonderful, romantic honeymoon in Africa. We're looking for exclusive and luxurious accommodation where we can relax in private and be pampered by the staff.

We want this to be a once in a lifetime trip where we get to experience some of the beautiful and varied scenery of the African continent, interesting destinations, fascinating culture and possibly spend some time on safari seeing extraordinary African wildlife in their natural habitat. We may also want to spend time on a glorious sun-drenched beach or tropical island.

My ideal African safari is an experience of pristine wilderness where I can see and learn more about the wildlife of the region. I like my comforts but luxury to me is a wonderful day out in the remote bush, and a return to a comfortable tent where I can enjoy a hot shower or bath, an excellent meal and conversation at the campfire. To travel by light aircraft between private airstrips in remote safari locations would be ideal. I want to seek out open spaces, limitless skies and awe-inspiring scenery. Seeing the big five would be fantastic, but more valuable to me would be the insight I can gain from a knowledgeable game ranger.

I'm looking for an Out of Africa-style vacation that allows me to experience both big game and the soothing comforts of a luxurious lodge. I want to be spoilt: take me out daily in an open-top safari vehicle with a knowledgeable ranger for closer encounters with Africa's big five, then wine and dine me in a stylish and beautiful settings. To see animals and experience nature's power is important to me, but my comforts during my limited holiday time are equally vital and I'm prepared to pay for the paramount safari experience.

My intention is to explore as much of Africa as possible and to savour as many new, unusual and exciting experiences as possible. Time is no obstacle and although I have a budget, it won't limit the amount of fun I plan to have on this safari! I enjoy meeting new people and would be happy to tour on an overland truck. I'm happy to pitch my own tent, especially when it means seeing beautiful places, abundant wildlife and getting to know like-minded travellers.

I enjoy the kind of holiday that's full of activity and plenty of variety - or else I'm passionate about a particular sport or activity, such as golfing, birdwatching, cycling, hiking, horse riding or boating, and would like a holiday that allows me to do as much of that as possible in wonderful, new scenery. Either way I would like to select a tour according to my preferred activity or that offers me as much to do as possible. I am happy to travel to the best areas for me to indulge in my favourite sport, hobby or activity, or I would prefer to stay in one place and explore it fully through sightseeing, shopping, spending time on the beach and eating out at its best restaurants.

It's not so easy to classify me! I have plenty of time for an African experience and my budget will allow me to do exactly what I'd like. I'm keen to tour a specific region, I'm happy to travel in a group and I want to be catered for although not necessarily pampered to the extreme. I have money to spend but I'd rather spend it on seeing and experiencing more than on the frills. I'm looking for a good time, wildlife, magnificent scenery and plenty to write home about.
