My recent travels

I have recently had the advantage of travelling to the Kruger area and exploring the Panorama Route, which is one of my favourite destinations to travel to because I grew up in a town close by.

About me

I grew up in the small town of Nelspruit (it was small!) having the advantage of spending almost every long weekend and school holiday in the Umbabat Private Nature Reserve at a place called Ingwelala. So, you could say I was born with a piece of safari life built in me.

After I finished university I had a desire to go explore the world and see what it had to offer. I worked on the cruise ships for eight months, discovering the Caribbean and all its gems. I returned home to Africa for a vacation and realized that this is the only place that I could call home and decided to resettle in South Africa.

After a year of working at a safari lodge I found my passion for helping travelers plan their dream vacations. I decided that I would love to be able to share my love for Africa with the rest of the world. I moved to Cape Town to work in a beautiful city and help people plan their travels to Africa.

Where have I travelled

Being South African and having been ‘bit by the travel bug’ at a young age I have seen a large portion of South Africa, including Mpumalanga (God’s Window, Kruger National Park, Hazyview, Hoedspruit, Nelspruit, The Three Sisters, Graskop and the Bourke’s Luck Potholes, to name a few), the Northern Cape (Upington, Kimberly and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park), and Kwa-Zulu Natal (I had the opportunity to work at Nambiti Game Reserve in Ladysmith). I have a family that loves to travel and had a privilege to be taken on vacation with them. On these holidays, we visited Namibia (Etosha National Park, Lüderitz, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay), Botswana (Gaborone and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve), Mozambique (Maputo, Vilanculos and Ponte de Ouro) and Swaziland.

Having finished four years at varsity, I decided that I wanted to see more of the world. I got a position to work on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. While in the Caribbean, the ship went to Texas, Fort Lauderdale, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and many more magnificent islands and countries in the Caribbean. When I returned, I visited was able to travel to Mauritius and experience its beauty.

What I love about Africa

What I love about Africa is its diversity and its picture-perfect sunrises and sunsets.

Some Africa travel advice

Take a moment to absorb your surrounding and the beauty of every destination you are in before taking a picture because the memory will last for a lifetime.

Where I'd love to go next

I would love to be able to experience the Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti and Masai Mara, see Victoria Falls in full flow and visit the gorillas in Rwanda.
