Cheli & Peacock

 

Kenyan born Stefano Cheli, an Italian whose family moved to Africa shortly after WWII, is married to Liz Peacock, an Englishwoman who also grew up in Kenya. Their partnership, Cheli & Peacock, has earned its reputation as one of Kenya's top brands.

Cheli & Peacock, which started as a luxury mobile safari company in 1985, has grown and expanded over the years, and now has 10 properties ranging from traditional bush safari camps to luxury cottages.

All offer top quality accommodation with a great selection of activities, and a choice of some of Kenya's finest national parks and reserves including the Masai Mara, Amboseli National Park and the romantic Lamu Archipelago.

Cheli & Peacock also offers luxurious fly-in and driving safaris, which include a broad selection of eco-systems and give you the opportunity to experience Kenya's fantastic wildlife, traditional culture and dramatic landscapes.

Cheli & Peacock pays careful attention to eco-friendly lodge management and protection of the natural environment. The company is committed to developing and promoting sustainable tourism hand-in-hand with beneficial conservation and wildlife management practice.

Elsa's Kopje was the recipient of Africa's first bronze ecotourism certification (in 2003), and a number of their properties have now received a rating for sustainable tourism from the Eco Society of Kenya (ESOK).
