The Eastern Cape is situated along South Africa's eastern coast and is an incredible Big 5, malaria-free safari area.
The Eastern Cape has enough attractive towns, brimming nature reserves and spectacular geological features to make it a tourist favourite.
The area is excellent for Eastern Cape safaris. The diverse landscapes now support a variety of game with many world-class Big 5 reserves in the area, due in no small part to excellent conservation projects.
A warm welcome, friendly staff and excellent game viewing is only the start of an Eastern Cape safari. My favourite part was sitting on a quiet hill top looking up at the stars, seeing a mother lion playing with her cubs and having my face painted by a Xhosa lady - Go2Africa Safari Expert Kate Erskine
Along with being an area of incredible wildlife and scenic beauty, the Eastern Cape is also excellently located near major highlights in South Africa. From this area you can embark on a coastal exploration of the Garden Route, which eventually end in Africa's most happening city - Cape Town.
Jeffrey's Bay is a top surf spot, Grahamstown is a cultural icon, the Karoo an expanse of sparse natural beauty, and the Wild Coast one of the least developed, most exciting and beautiful regions in South Africa.
Eastern Cape accommodation includes everything from stylish, overnight stops in Port Elizabeth to some of the top luxury safari lodges in South Africa.
The malaria-free Eastern Cape has a pleasant climate and is great for families - our range of Eastern Cape family holidays will surprise you with the depth of family-friendly entertainment and Eastern Cape accommodation.
