Common areas looked very nice but other than this, it was not noticeably different to Kwara. Although fine, I think it was getting a little tired and maybe needs refreshing. Food was noticeably better and staff were so very happy and friendly. Game drives were OK – the sheer size means you spend a lot of timing getting anywhere whereas Kwara it all felt closer. Had a very good guide (Bate- who was very good at explaining everything). Game wise, there was lots of quantity of the main animals (more zebras and buffalos than we expected) and also many big herds of everything as opposed to Kwando where they were smaller groups but less cat viewing than we expected.

At Kwando Lebala we saw a great amount of game with a very good guide. Again accommodation, food and hospitality were good.

I suppose the best for us was at the Kwando concession, Lebala Camp; only in so much as we saw so much wildlife. Leopard sleeping off his meal up a tree and following a pack of wild dogs as they set off hunting.

Lebala Camp is beautiful as were the levels of service etc. My only slight disappointment was that the game viewing there was not great. Not sure why as it was not flooded like Stanley’s but I guess that was the luck of the draw. I met many guests who went to Chobe (Chilwero) and saw hordes of elephants, even wild dogs etc. I still enjoyed everything about Lebala and we met some wonderful people there. The camp obviously has no control over what the guests end up seeing game wise.

I am pleased that we decided to take your advise and go to Lebala, it was simply amazing, and Victoria Falls. Well what else can I say, it was ‘overwhelming’. We saw a huge amount of game, and we can both appreciate why people return to Africa/Botswana etc, year on year.

The game viewing was astonishing. We saw pretty much everything except for the leopard (more on that later). We saw cheetah several times, lions, more elephant than you could possibly count, giraffe, hyena, wild dogs (and their 3 week old puppies), hippos, crocodile, wildebeest, warthog, ostrich, buffalo, zebra, lots of different types of antelope and lots of birds. Their new tents were nice, but they were still quite hot during the heat of the day. This place was definitely focused on the game viewing and was not as focused on service (a different feel than Sussi & Chuma and Xigera Camp), but the game viewing should be the highlight so that was OK. Also, the airstrip they were using was a 2 1/2 hour drive away, which made things more difficult logistically. But all in all, an incredible experience.
