Rooms

Bustani House

There are two Farm Houses available at Gibb's: Bustani and Deutsches. Each of these spacious retreats feature two en suite bedrooms, private living areas and gardens. The Farm Houses are perfect for families who want to enjoy private tranquility in the absolute beauty of nature.

Facilities

Built in 1929, the farmhouse still features most of its original architecture and layout, and houses the dining area, living room and library.

The living room still retains the same feel as it did in 1929, with a fireplace and many comfortable couches on which to lounge with a night-cap or a glass of wine.

Unwind in the reading room that opens onto the patio, offering beautiful views of the coffee farm and valley below.

At the African Living Spa, you can relax and unwind with a range of treatments that are based on traditional Maasai healing techniques.

Dining

The 10-acre organic fruit and vegetable garden provides 90 per cent of the ingredients needed for the home-cooked, gastronomic delights that you'll enjoy at Gibb's Farm. In the morning, tuck into a full breakfast with everything from fresh fruit, granola and breads, to pancakes, bacon and eggs. Return to a farm-style buffet lunch with wood-oven bread (that you can help make), soup, savoury meat and vegetable pies, quiche, and fresh salads as well as a wide selection of baked desserts. Dinner is a 4-course meal served to your table, featuring even more delicious, home-cooked meals.

"Gibbs Farm was beautiful, the staff were friendly, the room was lovely, as were the gardens. The food was excellent and liked the way they grew all their own fruit and veg, and raised their own beef, chicken and pork!"

On our way to the Crater Lodge, we stopped at a tribal village to learn about their culture. Next, we had a delightful stop at Gibbs Farms. We enjoyed our tour of the organic farm and learning about the harvesting and roasting process for coffee bean s. The lunch buffet was plentiful and the food was fresh and delicious including yummy desserts. The gift shop here had the best variety of lovely African handicrafts of all the locations we visited.

An oasis was definately right! It was like an english B&B in the middle of Africa! The food was just so good and the service I think the best we had experienced and for me probably the best anywhere on any of my travels! We loved just sitting in the garden looking out over the coffee plantations in the late arvo having afternoon tea.

I am so thankful you put us in Gibb's Farm. Food, service and comfort was just what we needed after roughing it up in a camp. On the morning of our trip to Ngorongoro, they had forgotten about our coffee... imagine a coffee plantation and we left wi thout a drop of anything! Ayoub was quick to prepare at least the coffee thermoses by himself in the kitchen. He also made sure that the manager found out. Later at dinner that evening, the manager approached our table, apologized personally for the error, and invited us to a bottle of good South African red wine.
