Overview of Ilala Lodge

Zimbabwe, Zambia, Victoria Falls

Situated within walking distance of the spectacular Victoria Falls, Ilala Lodge is the ideal base from which to explore the world’s largest sheet of falling water. The lodge is situated on the Zimbabwean side of the Falls and is perfect for those who want to experience all that this Natural Wonder has to offer.

Enjoy white-water rafting on the Zambezi River, tranquil boat cruises downstream, or thrilling microlight flights to see the top of the Falls. Stand on the renowned Victoria Falls Bridge and admire the view or take the plunge with a thrilling bungee jump. The national park borders the front of the lodge’s property, and small animals – like dik-dik and warthogs – are frequently seen grazing on the lawns.

There are several accommodation options available, and all rooms have air conditioning and satellite television.

The Ilala Lodge was great and the location was perfect. It was a quick (5/10 minutes anywhere we needed to go) and we were able to walk into town for shopping. The Zambezi River cruise was one of my highlights of the entire trip. It was like being in a National Geographic movie. We had a herd of elephants leave an island and cross the river in front of us to the other shore.

I loved being able to see the mist from the falls and the park setting! We saw our first elephant here too. It felt like an oasis and we really loved it. The restaurant was very good and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Zimbabwe was spectacular. The helicopter tour was very cool, to be able to see the Falls by air, land, and water all in one day! Thank you for setting up the sunset boat cruise, we saw a ton of wildlife!
