South Africa, Panorama Route

Perry’s Bridge Hollow is set in beautiful gardens in a colonial-style shopping village called Perry’s Bridge Trading Post. This country hotel is a convenient base from which to explore South Africa’s lowveld region: located just outside the town of Hazyview, Perry’s Bridge is close to the Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route, a dramatically scenic region home to highlights such as Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim’s Rest, God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes.

Relax on your private veranda or have a dip in the swimming pool, explore the boutiques, craft and décor shops at Perry’s Bridge Trading Post or try a pint of locally brewed lager at Perry’s Bridge Brewery. If you’re on a family holiday, your children are sure to have fun at the Reptile Park and playground. The helpful staff at the Information Centre will suggest other activities and attractions to visit in the area.

We had a blast in Hazyview. We went quad wheeling, horseback riding, zip lining and did the elephant whisperers. The panoramic tour was nice, but the girls got tired of driving and wanted to get on to the lodge. Little impatient at their age.

Back in Perry’s Bridge Hollow, everything was nice and they were very kind with us, they even prepare especial breakfast packs for the ones that leave early like us! The stores they have there are truly a delight. We bought a lot of handcrafts.
