Superior Room

The eight Superior Rooms at River Manor are beautiful and spacious air-conditioned rooms with generously proportioned en suite bathrooms featuring a bath and separate shower.

Standard Room

Decorated in a colonial style with antique furnishings and a touch of Africa, rooms at River Manor come complete with TV, hairdryer, ceiling fan, wall safe, bar fridge and complimentary port and sherry trays along with soft towelling bathrobes. Rooms are spacious and airy with natural light streaming in through the windows; fresh cut flowers give the rooms a personal touch.

There are six Classic Rooms with en suite bathrooms featuring a shower or bath. Two Petite Rooms are also available and are smaller in size with an en suite shower. Air-conditioned rooms are available on request.

General Facilities

The two swimming pools in the garden are ideal for cooling down and lounging around during hot summer days.

The library offers a comfortable, warm space to relax and read on rainy days.

The Studio Spa employs traditional French beauty and wellness treatments to invigorate and revitalise the body.

    River Manor was lovely! A small boutique hotel situated next to the iconic Eersterivier in Stellenbosch, it offers a variety of fun things for guests to do – all of which are walking distance from their stay there such as walks in the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve, wine-tasting or dining out at one of Stellenbosch’s numerous restaurants. The accommodation is great value for money and rooms are neat and tidy. The outside pool area was beautiful and surrounded by a well-looked after garden. Perfect more for couples keen to ‘get away from it all’ but still be close enough to attractions of the Winelands.

    The River Manor Guesthouse in Stellenbosch was also very accommodating. As with The Walden House, hot and cold breakfast every morning was a welcome aspect of our stay. The guesthouse was very well situated and walking to the local restaurants that were recommended, as well as around town at night, felt very safe and pleasant. Stellenbosch is a spectacular region and we really enjoyed our time there, we only wish that we had more of it.
