Standard Tent

Rufiji has 11 individually designed classic tents that offer an authentic safari feel - with its thatched roofs, large verandas and canvas walls - without foregoing any modern comforts.

Each tent is pitched along the river bank, affording awe-inspiring views of Rufiji River's tranquil waters.

The library offers a quiet, relaxing spot to curl up with one of the wildlife books or gaze out over the river.

The covered swimming pool is situated between reception and mess area, creating a wonderful place to cool down and socialise during the lazy afternoons.

The central restaurant at Rufiji River Lodge is open-fronted and thatched with palm trees, offering a beautiful location in which to end off your days and relax during lunch time. Sit down to both exotic and traditional international meals, and treat yourself to something different like wild impala and warthog. The camp has a license to take a certain allocation of these each year, offering you a rare chance to try these delicacies.
