Overview of Bilimungwe
Located in a little-visited and unspoilt part of Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, Bilimungwe is an intimate and remote safari camp on the shaded banks of the Luangwa River. The lodge’s position next to the river and its wildlife-packed grassy floodplains means that Bilimungwe is a nature-lover’s paradise. Bilimungwe provides a comfortable base for guided morning and sunset walking safari, or a place to set off on foot to a neighbouring camp.
Game drives are also on offer and deliver frequent sightings of Africa’s classic big game species such as lion, buffalo, hippo, leopard and elephant as well as rare animals like wild dog plus a huge variety of bird species. In between game viewing activities, spend hot afternoons relaxing under cool thatching or in one of the lazy loungers set in a beautiful spot overlooking the Luangwa River.
