Overview of Morokolo Game Lodge

Morokolo Game Lodge sits in the Black Rhino Game Reserve, which has been incorporated into the greater Pilanesberg National Park. It is under a 3-hour drive from Johannesburg and a short drive from Sun City, South Africa’s premier fun-in-the-sun family and entertainment resort. Home to the Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo), Pilanesberg is one of South Africa’s most bio-diverse national parks and has a bird count of over 350 species, too.

Morokolo’s eight luxury suites are divided into two camps, each with its own entertainment area, game-viewing vehicle, and professional guide. Suitable for safari travellers looking for more intimate accommodation in Pilanesberg, the camps may also be booked in their entirety, making them ideal for families or groups of friends who want exclusive use of a safari lodge.

Two game drives a day are part of the schedule at Morokolo Game Lodge, led by an experienced guide and heading off in the early morning and late afternoon to search for big game on the move. You will also be offered the chance to go on a nature walk with your guide, which will give you fascinating insights into the smaller details of the Pilanesberg landscape. Other activities in the area such as hot-air ballooning, golf on Sun City’s championship courses and all the razzle and dazzle of Sun City can also be enjoyed from Morokolo – ask your Africa Safari Expert to make all the necessary arrangements for you.
