Inside, unique pieces like hand-hewn bar stools, other-worldly blue chandeliers and free-form bath tubs create a ‘back to nature’ atmosphere. The timber and natural fibre rooms are accented with powdery tones of blue to resonate with the wide-open sky above you. Benguerra Island has a short, grass airstrip for private planes but pilots should check conditions in advance as it lies within a wetland and may not always be suitable for landing and taking off.
