Overview of The Manor at Samara

The Manor at Samara is an exclusive-use, deluxe safari villa situated at the heart of the Samara Private Game Reserve in the beautiful Great Karoo. A maximum of eight guests can be accommodated at the Manor, and they will be assured of a personalised and flexible stay in the care of a private guide, chef and butler.

Experience the pulse of the Karoo from the comfort of an open game-drive vehicle. There’s a surprising variety of animals in this Eastern Cape reserve and expert guides will take you in search of cheetah, giraffe, zebra and white rhino as well as many smaller mammals and birds. Guided walks are offered, children are more than welcomed and guests can also view Bushman paintings and examine fossils that predate the dinosaurs.

The Manor at Samara is air conditioned and features a library, large comfortable lounge with a fireplace and large glass doors that open out onto a patio.

A 21m infinity pool descends into a natural waterhole where you can observe animals as they quench their thirst. Guests at The Manor have the full services of a personal ranger, chef and butler.

    We had a great time at Samara. We had the entire Manor House for us and the kids were so proud for having a huge pool only for them!!!! The game drive was nice but, as you know, there are no lions / elephants in Samara. We were able to see cheetahs though. I even walked with the ranger close to one!!!! It was amazing. The ranger and the staff in Samara were absolutely fantastic!!!! The Manor House, even though beautiful and extremely well decorated, it definitely requires a “face-lift” as some of the materials are getting worn out.
